Pizza Vending Machine Makes Pizza in 90 Seconds or Less

By on October 9, 2011

If you have a hankering for pizza during your lunch hour but don’t have time to wait in a restaurant or want to deal with a frozen pizza, you may now get a chance to get your hands on a freshly baked pizza in 90 seconds or less.

While you may scoff at the idea, the machine is like the 24-hour baguette baking vending machine from France, now a team of New York entrepreneurs has created an automated pizzeria that dishes out freshly baked pizzas that will be hot with just a touch of a few buttons.  The machine will allow customers to choose between white, cheese and pepperoni pizza.  A window on the machine allows them to watch as their order is made.  This machine presses a fresh ball of dough into an eight inch pie, the nozzles dispense the pasta sauce.  The spinning platform allows the sauce and cheese to be evenly distributed.

The pizza takes about 90 seconds to bake,  of course it might be hard for the customers not to be distracted by a 32-inch flat screen TV that blares entertainment and ads. When the pizza is finished, it’s delivered in a vented box along with a disposable pizza cutter, napkin and two spices.  You can check out the video of how the machine works, meanwhile, the stainless steel machine seen in the video is a prototype, and the company says they’re in the process of building five machines for market testing.  Would you like a pizza from a vending machine?
