Disney Channel Wizards of Waverly Place Maria Canals-Barrera To Host Imagen Awards

Wizards of Waverly Place might be coming to an end, but Maria Canals-Barrera will be hosting an awards show. She is the host for this year’s Imagen Awards. They air on this Sunday (October 9th). The awards honors Latinos, much like the ALMAs do. You can watch it on the PBS in SoCal.

It is nice to see that she is getting some media attention. It seems like Selena was the only one from the show that actually ever get any love. Maybe that will change now and we can start expecting to see her fellow cast becoming bigger in their own right. I am sure she would love that as well. They are like family after spending years beside each other.

Are you excited for Maria? I am sure she is beyond pleased that she was invited to host. Who would not be? It is a pretty big deal and I think she could do it with no issue. I am dying to know what she wore and what all happened. I do wish more networks picked up this event. It would be interesting for so many to see. Plus it would please the many Latinos around, or at least I think it would. They don’t seem to be noticed much as of yet.
