Adele Cancels All Upcoming Concerts In Preparation For Throat Surgury

Oct - 31 2011 | Anna Peel | no comments

It wasn’t that long ago when we told you that blue-eyed soul singer Adele had to cancel some shows in the United States because of vocal cord problems, and now we just found out that she cancelled the rest of her tour to prepare for an upcoming throat surgery. The “Rolling In The Deep” singer is planning to rest her vocal cords for about a year. This is the message on her official website:

It is with deep regret that Adele has been forced to cancel her remaining live dates and promotional appearances in 2011.

She is to undergo surgery to alleviate the current issues with her throat and a full recovery is expected. As a result, doctors have ordered her to rest her voice and completely recuperate before looking to schedule any work commitments.

It sucks that she had to cancel all her concerts for the rest the year, but at least Adele will be releasing a concert DVD next month. I like Adele’s music and hope that her vocal cords heal properly so she can go back to making music. Were you planning on attending one of her concerts and are you disappointed about the cancelled shows?
