Trailer For Puss-In-Boots Movie

The new preview for “Puss in Boots – The Most Interesting Cat in the World has come out. DreamWorks put out a new preview for the upcoming “Shrek” spinoff, “Puss in Boots” which debuts November 4, 2011. “Puss in Boots” parodies the “most interesting man in the world” commercials. It stars Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, and Zach Galifianakis.

Before Puss in Boots met Shrek, Puss who is a suave and furry feline hero, goes on an exciting ride. He joins Humpty Dumpty and the street savvy Kitty Softpaws to steal the famous Goose who lays the Golden Eggs.

I think the characterization of Puss in Boots is interesting. His character is based on a commercial. It seems that he is suave and debonair. Apparently this is a different story from the past story of “Puss in Boots” who helps his poor owner to become wealthy. I think new stories with older storybook characters can be fun. Maybe new stories can be written about Tom Thumb, Rumpelstiltskin, and the Little Tailor. There are lots of fairy tales from all over the world. Some of these could be written and filmed. One of my favorites are the stories of Baba Yaga, a witch in Slavic folklore. Maybe the movie moguls could make a funny movie about Baba Yaga.
