The Harry Potter Dog Needs A New Home

“Harry Potter’s” dog needs a home. The German Shepherd that played Padfoot in “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” was placed to the German Shepherd Dog Rescue in the U.K. It has a no destruction policy.

The German Shepherd is named Berry. Along with Berry is Porridge, a white German Shepherd who is 13-years old. Their former owner, Paul Thompson, who is a stuntman and trainer, spends too much time away from home. Thompson raised Berry and Porridge together and insists on their being adopted together. The dogs are in a safe foster home and need a permanent home. The U.K.’s “Sunday Express publicized the dogs’ need. At least 100 people have offered to take them. Many of these offers are from the U.S. The German Shepherds have a condition (chronic degenerative radiculomyelopathy) that makes it difficult for them to walk. Because of their age, the dogs will probably be kept in the U.K. Berry and Porridge are very quiet and well-behaved. The criteria to adopt from the GSDR is strict. Only families with kids over age 7 can adopt. Apartments are not allowed and the dogs must not be left alone for more than four hours due to their anxiety.

I think the two German Shepherds are precious and are deserving of a good, loving home. A home that provides lots of attention and care. It is a good thing Berry and Porridge will be adopted together as they are life-long companions.
