Pokemon To Release New Game

By on September 20, 2011

VIZ Media is releasing a DVD of Pokemon. It is called Pokemon – Zoroark: Master of Illusion and is being re-released on the 20th of September. The movie is about Ash and his friends attending the world cup of Pokemon masters. It has a rating for everyone, which will please many fans of the series. You can find the official press release down below.

Pokemon has found success for over 10 years. This appears to be unheard of for many, but fans have stuck beside it for years. The series has seen books; games and cards come out since it has come into pop culture. The game will likely sell it well and has come out in time before the holiday season. Pokemon is hoping to bank on that season after a few cooler years in sales.

What do you think about Pokemon trying to create a new wave of success? I think that they should focus on their new website more than a new movie. Most of those who grew up with it are now adults and I doubt they will watch it. As for today’s kids, I am not sure how many watch cartoons thus I don’t know if they even know what it is. I think that they need to do some kind of work for the brand, but they don’t need to overload their brand with movies that might not succeed so well.

San Francisco, CA, September 19, 2011 – VIZ Media, LLC (VIZ Media), the largest distributor and licensor of anime and manga in North America, will excite POKÉMON™ fans everywhere with the DVD release of the full-length feature film from the venerable kids franchise, POKÉMON—ZOROARK: MASTER OF ILLUSIONS. The DVD, rated ‘A’ for All Ages, will be released on September 20th under the company’s VIZ KIDS imprint and will carry an MSRP of $19.97 U.S. / $19.98 CAN.

As Ash and his friends journey to Crown City to join the crowds watching the Pokémon Baccer World Cup, mysterious forces are in motion that could bring untold misfortune to them all! What secrets does Zorua, a Pokémon they befriend along the way, hide? Why is the powerful Zoroark rampaging through the city, and what does the appearance of the Legendary Pokémon Raikou, Entei, and Suicune mean? All these questions and more will be answered in POKÉMON—ZOROARK: MASTER OF ILLUSIONS!

“We are thrilled to bring the POKÉMON—ZOROARK: MASTER OF ILLUSIONS DVD to Pokémon fans across the country,” says Brian Ige, Vice President, Animation. “The Pokémon community is incredibly passionate and they will be excited to add this movie to their home DVD library.”

Sarah Peel has probably never played (or heard of) Pokémon until she was told to write an article about it. Stop referring to the movie as a game!!!

“What do you think about Pokémon trying to create a new wave of success?”
First Pokémon game came out it 1996 and the first movie came out in 1998. How is that a new wave of success? It’s iconic and has a more than dedicated fanbase.

“I think that they should focus on their new website more than a video game.”

So you want no more pokemon games and just a website with information about a worldwide phenomenom that used to exist?

I strongly suggest you stick to writing about celebrities that people brain dead as you read about. Also Zoroark: Master of Illusions is not new, it came out over a year ago…

I don’t think she wasn’t saying this was the first time they had released a movie, its just that she was saying they are trying to bank on more than just the video game releases this year.

Also, I don’t think she was recommending they give up the game for good, i think she meant she thinks they should focus at the moment on getting their website updated rather than spending the money to release a new game this year. Besides it was her personal opinion either way.
