Nicole Richie To Help Induct Repunzle As A Princess

Disney might have released the fan favorite movie Tangled almost a year ago, but Disney is about to adopt her. This weekend and on October 2 as their 10th princess. Nicole Richie and her family will be their at Trafalgar Square to help with the celebration, which will end at the Kensington Palace. You will find the full press release down below.

I think it is great that they are adding Repunzle as a princess. With the success of Tangled and the fact that Disney is well known for their princesses this makes perfect sense.

Do you support Repunzle joining their princesses? I would love to see more projects with the princess and maybe even see a Tangled 2? While Disney at some points can make us feel like they are only focusing on the boys, this reminds us that they will make sure the girls are involved as well. Plus it was news to me that Tangled is on of the top ten grossing Disney movies ahead of Toy Story, Toy Story 2 and Cars. You can check out some more great pictures below.

LONDON, UK (Sep. 29, 2011) – Today Rapunzel experienced the majesty of Trafalgar Square and posed for a photo in front of Nelson’s Column. The future princess arrived in London to do some sightseeing before she is officially welcomed as the 10th Disney Princess character at a high profile, star-studded celebration, that will take place in front of a global audience on October 2, 2011. Rapunzel will be visiting famous London landmarks every day this week (September 26-30) and taking pictures along her journey.

For her celebration, little princesses from across the globe will watch Rapunzel be welcomed into the Disney Princess royal court by Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahontas, Snow White and Tiana. As an official member of the Disney Princess court, she will be celebrated and recognized as such across Disney, and will be included in all Disney Princess products featuring multiple characters, in addition to her own merchandise line.
