Lady Gaga Set To Perform In Times Square During New Year’s

When Times Square rings in 2012 the world will be set to go Gaga.

ABC recently announced that Lady Gaga will be among the performers on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2012″.  The Poker Face singer will perform in front of an estimated 1 million New Yorkers at this years televised turning of the calendar.  Seacrest commented that Lady Gaga is one of the most exciting and relevant artists of our time and he is glad that she is going to be joining the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve lineup.  This year’s extravaganza will be extra-celebratory, beginning on December 31 at 8 p.m. with a two-hour special, “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve: The 40th Anniversary Party,” and wrapping up at 2:11 a.m. ET. The celebration will be broadcast from both New York and Los Angeles.

Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie will handle hosting duties for the Los Angeles portion.  No other musical guests have been announced so far but the roster is sure to fill up as the months progress to the big date.  Buzz will certainly be around what type of stage performance Lady Gaga is planning and what her wardrobe might be.  Will you be checking out Lady Gaga’s performance on New Year’s Eve?
