Justin Timberlake disguised himself as Sesame Street’s Ernie at Comic-Con(comic book convention).

Justin Timberlake went unnoticed at Comic-Con this year dressed as Ernie from Sesame Street. This was a fan-filled event and no one realized that Ernie was Justin Timberlake. Justin went with reporter, Chris Jones, who dressed as Bert. They went to a pop culture convention in San Diego, California where they mixed with crowds of fans and photograpgers as part of “Esquire’s” October cover story. Justin Timberlake loved being anonymous in the midst of fans. Justin refused to take off his mask to surprise the crowd. Timberlake told the magazine, “No way dude! You have no idea what it’s like. I can sometimes walk around New York if I dress the right way, but that’s it . . . I keep forgetting, when people ask to take our picture it’s because I’m Ernie. It’s not because I’m me . . . You’re witnessing one of the most memorable days of my life.”

I think the most difficult thing about fame is being recognized everywhere one goes. It seems there isn’t any time off to be just oneself. I have read about celebrities become masters of disguise. It can be done successfully. Kim Novak, the actress, wore a dark wig with a scarf over the wig, sunglasses, and a trench coat. It worked for her.
