Gossip Girl’s The Jewel of Denial Promo Stills

Gossip Girl‘s new season has started this week, but we already have a new batch of photos for the October 10th episode entitled “The Jewel of Denial”. It features this season’s new leading lady, Elizabeth Hurley, who is Nate’s new interest. All the lovely photos can be seen below and here is the official description for the episode.

ELIZABETH HURLEY GUEST STARS IN A MULTI-EPISODE ARC FOR SEASON FIVE / EPISODE FEATURES A JENNY PACKHAM FASHION SHOW — Nate (Chace Crawford) must decide whether to cross moral lines at Diana’s (Elizabeth Hurley) request. Dan (Penn Badgley) has figured out who is publishing his book, and seeks help to stop it, but he ends up in the spotlight anyway. Chuck (Ed Westwick) helps Dan come to terms with his fate, just as Dan continues to try to help Chuck break through his emotional block. Serena (Blake Lively) and Charlie (Kaylee DeFer) return to the Upper East Side from California. Leighton Meester, Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle also star. Larry Shaw directed the episode written by Amanda Lasher (#503)

I am really surprised that Dan and Chuck have bonded! But I think they could make good friends if they keep trying. They have a lot more in common than Chuck has in common with Nate. Maybe we will see both of their lives to turn around for the better. I certainly hope that might be the case here, neither characters had the best of life for a while now.

Are you happy with Elizabeth Hurley’s role this season? I think she has added a new mixture to it. I do have to say that Nate still has a lot of growing up to do and I hope he chooses to act mature. He really does nothing to redeem himself from his bad habits yet. I think he has more issues than Chuck does, and we all know Chuck is far from perfect.
