Disney XD Orders Second Season of Kickin It

Disney XD has ordered a second season to one of their top rated original sitcoms Kickin It.  Since its June 2011 debut it has nabbed the number one live-action telecast in Boys 6-14, Boys 6-11 and Boys 9-14.

The martial arts themed sitcom accounts for Disney XD’s top 3 live telecasts in Kids 6-14, Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14.  Production for the second season is said to pick up in Hollywood in December for a 2012 premiere.  Kickin It follows a band of loveable misfits determined to beat the odds at the Bobby Wasabi Martial Arts Academy.  The series follows the group as they meet hot shot skater Jack who saves their lunch during a cafeteria food fight with his black belt skills.  When Jack flies through a wall of the dojo in a perfect martial arts stance the gang know they have met someone who may be able to help them and their struggling dojo.

Jack joins the crew and begins to teach them about confidence, karate and just plain kicking it.  The series follows the gang as they realize their new found friendship will take them to new places and united they will become unstoppable.  Kickin It airs Monday nights.  Are you glad the sho has been picked up for a second season?
