Demi Lovato’s Unbroken Number 1 on iTunes

Demi Lovato’s third studio album Unbroken hit stores today and already the album has nabbed a number one spot on the iTunes Store.

Demi’s third album reached number one on iTunes hours after its release and she declares this album is reflective of her being honest about her journey since leaving treatment earlier this year and heading back into the spotlight.  Ever since Lovato set her release date the headlines have shifted from her personal struggles and moves back to her professional career.  The album combines a mix of empowering ballads and flirty party tracks, it also opens the door for the next phase in her music career.  Demi says that the album is grown-up but not too grown-up – she recognizes that she is not a kid anymore but not a full grown woman either.  In the past her music touched more on rock than R&B, but now she is shifting to a more pop and B flavor that helps play on her big voice.

This change in genre isn’t the end for Lovato’s evolution as an artist by any means. “I like to experiment with my music,” she said. “Someday, I joke around, but I’m actually pretty serious about coming out with a country album. I want to do everything. I love music and I love all types of music, and I love where this album went.”  Have you picked up Demi Lovato’s new album Unbroken?
