Access Hollywood Covers Selena Gomez’s “Latina” Honor
Access Hollywood held a special with the 15 Latinas that Latina magazine honored for their 15th year anniversary issue. Of course, that means Selena Gomez was included in the special since she was one of the stars honored by them. You can watch it down below.
Selena has not always been seen as a favorite Latina before. Luckily the magazine disagrees with those who are not fans of her. She been the cover girl for the magazine for the past couple of years off and on, so it makes perfect sense that they would include her in the list. While she is clearly the youngest of them and not viewed as the same as the others, she certainly has played an important role for Latinas in Hollywood. With that said, I do still feel that Demi Lovato should have been included, but as of yet they have not had her on the cover.
Do you think that Selena is as respected as the others who were on the cover? I am sure her age has something to do with it or not, but I do think she clearly has proven herself to be a force that has helped their status in Hollywood. I wonder how she felt about being included in the issue? It is a pretty big deal for both her and the magazine-let alone for Disney who gave her a big break.

Selena is half Latina, but she has never EVER being one. She doesn’t even speak Spanish and can’t sing. She has other goods things, but when she started singing, I stopped liking her because it was obvious she was only doing it to keep up with her competitions. I am a HUGE Demi fan, but don’t think she should be here either – yes she can sing unlike Selena, but she has never being a Latina either or even talked about it. So to sum it up, none should be in this cover and Selena has become a huge disappointment (sell-out) since she started singing.
