Radio Disney Picks Their Next Big Thing Competitors

Radio Disney has chosen their next batch of young hopefuls who will compete in their Next Big Thing competition.

Having already launched the career of Hollywood Records Allstar Weekend and Kicking Daisies.  The 10 week Next Big Thing begins on October 14th across TV, radio, and internet platforms.  Competing this year with the pop singers Zach Montana, 13 from Tampa FL, Ladina Spence, 16 an L.A. resident from Germany, Shealeigh 13, from Chicago and Tay Barton 15, from Salt Lake City who sings country and Hollywood Ending a pop/rock quintet whose members are between 16 and 18 and hail from Maryland, New York, New Jersey and U.K.  Over the course of 10 weeks Radio Disney and Disney Channel will be encouraging fans to vote for their favourites at RadioDisney.com, The Radio Disney Facebook page and via text message.  Disney Music Group will release a single from the winner.

Each artist will receive equal play and exposure, and at the end of each round the contestants will face elimination based on listener votes.  Recently the four acts put on a concert and a fan meet and greet at the Americana at Brand in Grendale C.A. and was hosted by Radio Disney’s Jake Whetter.  You will have to stay tuned for the full coverage of the event, complete with interviews and videos with the contestants.  Will you be tuning in?
