Kinect Star Wars Game Release Date Pushed Back

Since the Kinect Star Wars game was announced, the fans have been waiting patiently for it. It was supposed to come out. Now we get the word that the game has been delayed for more production to be put into it. LucasArts released this joint statement along with Microsoft about the delaying of the game.

Microsoft and LucasArts have elected to move the launch of Kinect Star Wars beyond holiday 2011 to ensure the full potential of this title is realized, This move applies to both the Kinect Star Wars stand-alone game and the Kinect Star Wars Limited Edition Console. We will communicate additional timing information at a later date.

This news will upset the fans who have been dying for the release, even more so that they waited to release the news so close to the holidays. Even worse is the fact that there is no target date given for the game to be released. It seems like it may never come out to some and for those who are major fans of Stars Wars this news is killing them.

Are you bummed about the game being delayed? I am not much of a fan of Star Wars so it does not really bother me, but I do feel bad for those counting on it. It is tacky that it took them this long to release a statement. Then again, late is better than never.
