Demi Lovato Opens Up About Struggles

Demi Lovato has officially entered the big leagues of her career now. She was interviewed by Elle, her first big name magazine shoot and interview. They talked about the rumors that Joe Jonas was related to her issues, her health problems, and what she has kept hidden deep inside since seeking treatment.

Demi has been very open, but I can’t blame her for wanting to keep some things hidden, however, this was also the first time she has “confirmed” a few rumors that have been floating around, like the one about her mother seeking treatment for undisclosed issues. She also talks about the fact that her parents did know she had issues and how they they knew that she was just not ready to cope with it. She also talks about the infamous photos from Miley Cyrus’ 16th birthday party that showed red marks. Demi admits that her then PR person did not handle it well, but she also says that they did not allow her to deal with it. You can read the full interview at Elle.

I really have to applaud Demi for being so open. While it is likely painful for her to talk about some of this, she still opens up about it. I also feel that she deserves major kudos for not bad mouthing Joe and I also want to point out that she did not say that he had nothing to do with her issues because she said he didn’t.
