Demi Lovato Opens Up About Miley Cyrus
Demi Lovato is known as one of Selena Gomez‘s good friends, but she has also been a friend of her former competitor Miley Cyrus. She was recently interviewed for a top 30 countdown and she talked about Miley. You can find the interview at the bottom of this post.
Demi has been known to be off and on friend with Miley since last year. But this is the first time she has really spoken on the topic. However, Demi has no harsh words about anyone-including Miley. Some of you will likely remember the brouhaha over Miley’s video mocking Demi and Selena. While all have denied that, it does seem that they are all on good terms now. We still have not heard much about those two spending time together after Demi left the center, but she has previously said that Miley and Selena both reached out to her during her stint.
What do you think about Demi opening up about Miley? I hope that all three of them can become friends, but I am not sure how possible that is. All three likely have much more in common and they could offer each other support. You know that the transition from Disney to the mainstream media must be beyond tough. So maybe they can all now make amends and work on a future friendship of support that you know that most likely need.

Miley hates anyone who competes with her. She would stab any girl stars in the back just to stay on top. That is how she functions – she is such a nasty person, inside and out.
I have friends who work in the business who knows for a fact just how crappy a person Miley Cyrus is. And these are the same people who also claim that Demi Lovato was a real pro to work with. Kinda shows you just how opposite these two are in terms of being professional.

Actually the reports were that it wasn’t her choice to leave Hannah Montana and that this would not have been the last season if disney was sick and tired of her antics. And I’m not just talking about her shows, I’m talking about tour contractual obligations that she breeched as well as a lot of other things in which she pretty much crippled people with her attitude. Research is a persons best friend, you’re just too stupid to see it.

Every tv show comes to an end at some point, you seriously want to blame every single member of every cast of every tv show that’s ever ended for the subsequent unemployment of the other workers on that show? I’m actually quite suprised you responded. I assumed it was a one-off rage poster who would never look to it again. Hell, to be frank, a bit of that was downright trolling on my part.
As for your response, let me say this first: I likely would have included a much larger response, had I not been typing on an iPod touch (broken laptop ftw!). Like I said, though, much of those same “freelance writers,” were rehired by Disney for shows that are now popular and/or are now in production. Most of them aren’t even freelance, per se. I’d say about 85% of the employees (and thats a lowball estimate), work directly for It’s a Laugh, and are now working on some of the other shows (Including Demi’s show’s spiritual successor). Now, I can’t actually read the rest of your comment (again, iPod touch’s fault), but I’m gonna generalize from what I recall from skimming over it. Most of the cast/crew of HM went into the third season knowing Miley was tiring of it, and that it woulnt make it past the contract. She herself didn’t cost those people their jobs, because it was Disney’s choice not to force a five(+)-season contract, or to even hire those 15% not fully associated with them back, not hers. As for many of Miley’s faults, like the concert issues, I can’t disagree with you (mostly because i can’t read your points!), that’s just her being a popstar though; it all comes with time for popstars, and it ALWAYS inevitably happens. She’s changing as a person, and she pulled a Tiger Woods with her career (not the sex scandals); she alienated herself from her “childlike” HM role, and began promoting herself as a mature woman. Do I think she is? Not yet, and this “I’m an adult” phase happens to every girl, just not to an extreme such as hers.

If people think that the video that was made years ago is a sign of Miley’s jealously, all three of the girls have said other wise, and in fact, viewership of Selena and Demis Youtube accounts increased partially due to the fact that Miley actually told people to go look at thier site. The only thing Miley does is change course frequently, which means she frequently leaves friends behind, which usally is a result of schedule conflict. She is also always seeking new friends and makes it a point to get along with everyone who does the same with her. Everyone who has ever worked with her say that and they all seem to like Miley. I have read very very few negative comments from other people in the entertainment business, and even those people acknowleged her commitment and star power. This is all my opinion, what i say comes from me and how I see things. I don’t like budding in people’s relationship but this one I’m just curious about.
I don’t know Miley personally obviously but I hope she treats Demi very good. Demi is a sweet person. When a reporter was hinting for Demi to trash talk Miley, Demi made it very clear that Miley is Demi’s friend and that the reporter should watch where she is going with the subject. Only a true and loyal person would do that. Honestly I like Miley but I love the Selena and Demi relationship. (my opinion) when I look at different videos of Demi I can tell she desperately misses Selena. As for Selena, she just gives me mixed signals like she’s shut off emotionally and put up a wall on something that maybe happened between them. Yeah, James is honestly PATHETIC. I think everyone here can see that. I’m always going to be a fan of Miley and Demi and Selena seem like nice/sweet girls as well. I would hate to see what things James has done in his life seeing as he feels he has to highlight every rumor spread about Miley that date back to 2004.

Hi can I just say that this is about Demi and Miley’s friendship and not comparing Demi to Miley they are both different people even if they have some similarities to one another.
Also Miley just happens to be one of Demi’s friends who stuck by her through her problems and rehab when many of her other “friends” didn’t, so I think that says a little more of Miley’s character than rumours.
Demi is probably going to be the next top role model for our generation after all she sought help when she needed and now she is rising from the ashes with a great life and career ahead of her. She will be able to show people with the same problems that she had that they can overcome them no matter what they are, especially if she can with everyone watching her ever step waiting for her to make a mistake.

Sarah Peel, when are you going to turn over a new leaf and start being truthful with your readers. You know full well that Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato have been close friends for years and there’s never been any of the “rivalry” you claim. That might not be as controversial, but that’s the truth. As Demi says in the interview, they just spent the night together the other day. So when you say you hope they will become good friends, as though they are not already and have not been for years, you just come off as an idiot.
I don’t hate Miley Cyrus, but I don’t have respect for her because of her behavior over the past couple of years that continues to happen. I would respect her more if she gradually developed into an adult, moving away from her Disney image (which is perfectly fine), but instead she chose to be involved in repeated scandals, racy performances, bong videos, lap dancing with her 40-some year old producer, etc. just to shove it in the world’s face that she’s “grown up” now. But the problem with this theory is that when somebody grows up it means they mature intellectually (and perhaps physically). It doesn’t mean they shred and tear their clothes and decide to be promiscuous. There is nothing grown up about that- sorry but in my humble opinion it is merely pathetic. Someone can be entirely mature and adult-like in a wholesome way.
Secondly, it is sad that she chose to do so without any regard to her young fan base. One day she just started showing up at concerts in undies. Instead of acknowledging the fact that her Hannah Montana stars are the reason she became famous in the first place, and gradually moving away from the Disney image which is fine to do now that she is getting older, she chose to suddenly show her sleazy image to the entire world and without regards to the young people who would be watching, so as to say, “Oh yeah, look at me, I’m so hot and I’m all grown up now tell your kids to f*** off and stop watching me because I’m above them now. I want adults to like me not stupid little children”. If she had that kind of attitude she never should have become a Disney star in the first place.
It’s not that she has “made mistakes” or “isn’t perfect” as so many people would say- I know she isn’t perfect and I don’t expect her to be. But I do expect her to take responsibility when she does something stupid and make every effort to be sure it doesn’t happen again. I don’t sense remorse in her at all. These things keep happening over and over and over again and all she ever says in response is “Oh, I’m not perfect” or “Oh, it’s so and so’s fault”. I honestly think she is just an insecure, pretty nasty person who cares too much about making money and fame and not enough about being a wholesome person. I just didn’t realize this until recently.
As for Demi Lovato, I sense that she is a genuine person and I think she is very sweet. I think she has gone through so much in her life and she is rising above and doing really well. Plus, she has a beautiful voice which (sorry to say) I can’t say for Miley. Talented and a wholesome person. In Demi’s case, it is entirely fair to say she isn’t perfect and made mistakes… because she bravely told her story to the world, was genuine about the remorse she felt, didn’t blame anyone else for her problems, and always thinks about her fans first instead of herself. I’m sorry to be so down on Miley but honestly she just bothers me.
