Bewitched Will Be Remade For Television

“Bewitched ” will be remade for television by network executives at CBS. The bosses have requested a script from Sony Pictures Television. The casting has not been decided on as of yet.

There was the original series in the 1960′s and then a movie in 2005 with Nicole Kidman.

I personally loved the television series. Looking back, thw show was funny and had wonderful characters. Who would play Samantha and Darren? I think it would be more important to project the original characterizations of the Stephens, their in-laws, Larry Tate, Dr. Bombay, Esmeralda, and Mrs. Kravitz. I think the interaction of all the characters in each situation was so funny because you knew how they would react. You didn’t know what they would say but you knew what they would do. There was Darren who always thought Samantha had used magic to solve his problems at work. Samantha tried hard to be a regular housewife without using magic. Their daughter, Tabitha, was experimenting with her witch powers. Endora was meddling in their lives with mean tricks. Dr. Bombay made mistakes in diagnosing Samantha’s illnesses. Aunt Clara and Esmeralda had weak magic that brought problems. Mrs. Kravitz knew something wasn’t right at the Stephen’s house but she couldn’t prove what she saw. I hope the remake of “Bewitched” is true to the original series.
