The Lying Game Sneak Preview

ABC Family’s new show called The Lying Game is gearing up for a big premier. So they have been a bit heavy with the promotion pieces for it. We now have a sneak peak look of it at the bottom of this post. The show will premier on August 15th.

The series is based on Pretty Little Liars writer’s other series of the same name. It is about twins who find each other and one goes missing. Both girls hoped to meet their birth mother, but when one goes missing on the trip the other sister is left on her own. The story is surrounded by lies, much like the title suggests. The trailer hints that the show will be a hybrid of Pretty Little Liars and Switched At Birth.

The show sounds good, but I am not sure how it will hold up between the two original shows. It feels like they copied way too much from both series. Thus, I am not sure how the fans will feel about it or even bother to watch the show? I think that they could have found a better way or at least switch it up a bit, even if they had to be loosely based upon the book. It just would have been a better fit that way or at very least they could have placed it another network.
