Meet The 16 Pound Baby

Jul - 12 2011 | Kerin Peel | 2 comments

A 16 pound baby may have set a Texas record. According to Guiness World Records, the largest baby recorded weighed 23.12 lb. at birth in 1879. The baby was born in Canada.

JaMichael Brown was born last Friday. He weighed 16 pounds, 1 ounce and was twenty-four inches long. Babies of three to six months are usually that size. JaMichael was nicknamed “The Moose” at the hospital. His parents need to get larger clothes for JaMichael. It is reported they are looking forward to bringing JaMichael home.

It think JaMichael Brown is a beautiful baby boy and most likely will lose 10% of his birth weight. I think some people are too quick to point a finger at JaMichael’s parents, the Browns, and insinuate the parents did something wrong just because JaMichael is a large baby. His mother had gestational diabetes which can cause babies to be born big. She is a nurse and knows abouth being healthy. Also babies can be large because their parents are big people who are tall and big boned. I believe some people have a little knowledge and start to imagine they know it all. These people believe it is up to them to point out perceived faults of others. I think baby, JaMichael will be a fine, healthy boy.
