Justin Bieber For Chrome Commercial

Google has been having celebrities help out with promotion of Google Chrome. Past stars include Lady Gaga, but now Justin Bieber has a new commercial helping to spread the news about the browser. You will find the video at the bottom of this post.

Google’s commercial covers how Justin used YouTube to build his fan base and become huge. It was well edited and crafted, so it did tell the story well. But as for Chrome comes in is a bit strange and left out. Justin likely used some other browser since I doubt Chrome even was around when he got his start. However, it is nice to see a quick history of Justin’s career that is accurate.

I think that these kinds of commercials are creepy. While they are fun to see, it just seems wrong for Google to throw out a celebrity to bring their brand up. Like I stated above, most of these stories likely don’t have anything to do with Chrome and stars most likely do not even use it until recent. So it is pointless, but never less a clever marketing move by the big G. I wonder who else they will use next in their commercials? It makes you wonder or at least me wonder, since they already used 2 huge stars in the first 2.
