J. Lo To Sign Up For At Least One More Season Of American Idol

Jul - 26 2011 | Anna Peel | no comments

This year, the hit talent show from Fox network American Idol went through a few important changes to benefit the show in the long run and one of those major decisions was adding two new judges to the panel. This year, former rock veteran Steven Tyler and pop princess Jennifer Lopez(commonly referred to as J. Lo) to join Randy as a group who selects and influences a new group of young singers. Wee already know that Randy and Steven are onboard for next season but what about J. Lo?

According to MSN Entertainment, that answer might be a yes. Wall Street Journal supposedly has a deal with the Fox network for at least this upcoming season, however nobody has came out with official comments as of press time. This deal will probably have to top her contract from last year which was estimated to be $12 million.

I like J. Lo as a judge and I hope to see her on Idol again next year. Like Paula Abdul, one of Idol’s first three judges, Jennifer has sort of taken on a mother-like instinct when it comes to shaping the contestants into amazing singers, but unlike Paula, she’s got sound advice on what it takes to make it in today’s music industry. And she should know considering that she is one of the most popular singers today! Are you excited for next year’s American Idol and do you hope to see Jennifer return?
