First Look At Kristen Stewart As Snow White

We told you all about Kristen Stewart’s role as Snow White in an upcoming movie Snow White and the Huntsman. While at 2011 San Diego Comic Con, they released the first few photos from the movie. According to the cast they will start filming the actual movie in a couple of weeks.

Kristen shared that the movie will not be the typical Disney take on the tale. She will be playing a tougher Snow White, much like the new take on Red Riding Hood from earlier this year. She says that in this movie she will be playing a character who knows how to work a sword! But besides that and the news about 8 dwarfs, nothing else came out of the panel.

I will say that this take should be interesting. While it won’t be a Disney approved take, I do think it will be fun for older kids. Many have stated that the original tale by Brothers Grimm was much more dark, and Disney changed it. Therefore, it might be going back to the original style, but I doubt they will fully abandon Disney’s take to help keep it a hit in the box office. What do you think about the promo photos?
