Walt Disney Pictures is releasing a new banner and poster that displays the cast of “The Muppets”. “The Muppets” picture will open on November 23, 2011.

Walt Disney Pictures is re-introducing Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Animal, and the rest of the cast to the world. In the latest poster, Sam the Eagle is Captain America. Jason Segal and Amy Adams are the two humans in the movie. Segal’s character, Gary, has a best friend, Walter, who is an iPhone-welding muppet. These two along with Gary’s girlfriend, Mary, travel to fight the evil Tex Richman, who smells oil beneath the Muppets’ studio.

I am glad to know that all the Muppets are being re-united in a movie. I can’t help noticing there is a message in the new Muppet movie. From the name, Tex Richman , who is described as evil, I distinctly detect political correctness. Who are these people who think they know everthing? These people must believe it is their duty to inform people and to teach and shape young minds to their way of thinking. Why can’t children’s movies be about fun and not be spoiled by political correctness?

  1. Fred says:

Whoever said that this was supposed to be a children’s movie?

The Muppet Show characters were always intended for a broad audience, they always had an adult sense of humor.

Its only the Sesame Street characters that are only supposed to be for children.

I agree that the Sesame Street characters are for younger children ie toddlers and such, but I always felt The Muppets were supposed to be for slightly older children with humor that both could easily enjoy with fear of what you kid might see.
