ABC Family’s The Lying Game To Premier In August

ABC Family has been having a good year with new shows. Which brings us to the next one called The Lying Game that is based on a book of same name by Sara Shepherd. It will premier on August 15th at 9 EST.

It will be about a girl named Emma who finds out she has a tween named Sutton who is living a rich life. Both have never met each other, but Emma finds herself staying with her sister she did meet before and a rich lifestyle after a life in foster care. Alexandra Chandro plays both girls. You can view a preview of it at the bottom of this post.

I will say that it sounds like it will be a good one, but it sort of sounds like Switched At Birth. At least they are bringing in new shows that sound interesting and filling in the gap that Disney Channel has left. I do think that they could have kept the 2 shows premiers a bit longer apart. They seem to overlap a bit much for 2 new shows, but the networks board of directors must have felt the need for both shows this summer instead of one for fall and summer.
