Nintendo Introduces Wii U

This world is on a tablet computer kick, and Nintendo wants a piece of that pie badly. Nintendo who has been rumored for looking a way to merge new current trends in video games has a cost them before. However, this is not stopping the ever hopeful company that is seeking a way to stay current in the evolution of technology.
Nintendo is planning to release a tablet like device that will allow users to have the beloved video game feel. The device will be called Wii U and is slated for a 2012 release. Nintendo says that it can be played as a game controller when it is synced to your console or you can use it as a stand alone device. No date or price was released, but it will likely be a high priced gadget.
I am not surprised by this move. To be fully honest I am surprised that it has taken them this long! Everybody knows that they are hurting, despite what die hard fans of Nintendo will say. What it comes down to is what the bottom line is here, and their past few devices have not sold as well as past ones. I do think that if they focus on a tablet feature that could be used like the iPad that might be the winner they need right now. Yet it seems that Nintendo is still trying to hard on trying to capture the video game world once more again.
