Lion King in 3D To Be Released Before Cars 2 3D
If you saw “Cars 2″ then you saw a early preview of “The Lion King” in 3D. You get to see the first four minutes of “The Lion King” in 3D.
“The Lion King” in 3D will be shown for two weeks starting September 16, 2011. It is the first time “The Lion King” is shown in theaters in 3D. After the two weeks end in September, the film will be delivered to Diamond Edition 3D Blue Ray on October 4, 2011.
In my opinion , the new release of “The Lion King” in 3D is just another way to make more money on a wonderful musical movie. I believe “The Lion King” was flawless just the way it was. It is a classic movie. The 3D form of the movie is a gimmick that won’t add an inch to its stature. Remember the saying,” if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. The story and music will make “The Lion King” stand by itself. The characterization of the animals can’t be improved. The cinematography was excellent and in my opinion, the 3D would take away a big part of the beauty of the cinematography. “The Lion King” is an enduring movie that should be left just as it is.

I enjoy this movie! The Lion King is the first animiation movie I ever “really” watched and it is actually now in my collection. The music, the plot and the humor makes this a best movie for anyone of all ages.
