Keke Palmer To Star In Rags – Nicklelodeon’s Rap Musical
Nickelodeon is serious about competing with Disney! They have plans for a rap musical called Rags that will have the help from Nick Cannon and a few other big musical acts. Rags right now is slated for a 2012 release.
Keke Palmer, who stars in True Jackson, VP will be the lead star in the movie. She will play a music mogul’s daughter, but is tired of her current lifestyle. Then she meets the guy of her dreams, he who lives with his evil step-father and brothers make his life horrible. However, he also has dreams of being a big singer-which is only mocked for. Max Schneider will play Keke’s love interest in the movie.
I am excited about this film concept. It sounds like an unique take and best of all a fun movie. I do wish that the targeted release date was closer, but I respect that they want to take their time on it. I do hope that they will provide us with more tidbits of info as they start filming, etc. I do wonder who will plau Keke’s father? Maybe Russel Simmons would be a smart one? After all, he is a real music mogul in real life!
