Introducing Disney’s Shake It Up Dolls
If you like the show,”Shake It Up”, you will like the two new dolls based on the two main characters. The dolls will be in stores October 2011.
Together Disney and Mattel will initiate a series of “Shake It Up” dolls influenced by the characters CeCe and Rocky. This is part of its new Disney VIP collection. Being influenced by the high-spirited hero characters and best friends, girls can imitate or create their own dances and stories. The dolls’s clothes conform to the hip, urban fashions of the show.
Disney is trying to dominate young children and sway their tastes, opinions and sentiments. It is a shame that businesses will go so far as to subjugate young kids to the businesses’ own benefit. Isn’t it a kind of slavery to regulate children’s play and imagination? If all that children see and imagine are images put into their minds by someone for money, what happens down the line. When the children grow up, will they be able to think on their own and create something more valuable and worthy in the future? Will the children be able to inspire and produce beauty. What happened to truth and beauty and their celebration? Will the culture plod on with mediocracy and senseless strivings without brilliance and happiness?
