Dakota Fanning Graduates From High School

We have watched many child stars grow from cute kids to wild young adults to normal adults. While most have turned out wild with issues, we all hold out hope for a few who turn out normal. And Dakota Fanning is one of those we have watched grow up on the screen with hope in our hearts. But now that little girl is not so little anymore, which she has proven with her latest accomplishment.

Dakota just graduated from a private school, Campbell Hall in Los Angeles on Monday. Unlike many of her fellow young stars, she has stayed in public school which has allowed her to graduate with the rest of her class. The graduation was held at Walt Disney Concert Hall. which is a strange place for a non-Disney child star to graduate. She plans to attend New York University this fall, but no word on what she will study.

She has to have worked extremely hard to have accomplished so many portrayals, while staying a normal kid. Like playing a vampire in the Twilight Saga to the Secret Life Of Bees. She seems to have her life planned out and is thinking of her future, which we don’t see many young stars do. She most likely has her head on straight. We can hope that she won’t make the terrible life altering mistakes so may child stars have made. If she should decide not to act or the roles should dry up, she will hopefully have other options for her career since she plans to to attend college. I think she may be an excellent role model for her generation, much like Raven Symone and Hilary Duff have been for the past few years.
