Bridgit Mendler Makes A Big Difference With Her New Song

Change is good and making a difference helps. It doesn’t matter if your involvement is small or large, the only thing that really matters is that you do something that is important for the community. Celebrities know that with their career in the entertainment industry, they can make a huge impact.

Good Luck Charlie actress Bridgit Mendler has teamed up with Disney for their Friends Of Change Games. She co-written and sang the song “We Can Change the World”. The song is now available for download on Disney’s Project Green website and the music video is coming to iTunes. Around the same time the track was released, Disney made plans to donate $250,000 to their Disney Wildlife Conservation Fund which goes to various charities all around the world. Previously, the Friends Of Change program has raised over $800,000 in charity money. In a recent interview with Cambi, Bridgit explained why she joined the project:

I love that Disneys’ Friends for Change games pairs up with a musical project because I think music is a great way of spreading a message in a fun way that kids will listen.

I think what Bridgit and Disney are doing is great! Its important for young stars to set good examples for kids and teens. Collaborating with charity projects are a great start and its even better when the fans can participate by donating a little bit of money or even volunteering time. Kids often look up to young teen stars and they want to feel connected, that’s why projects like these make a terrific opportunity to inspire.
