Billy Ray Cyrus Talks About A Potential Prequel To Hannah Montana

Disney’s Hannah Montana was the hit television series that launched the career of teen queen Miley Cyrus. She’s gone on to record hit albums, tour the world, and star in movies. And now it appears that her father and former country singer Billy Ray Cyrus wants to launch go back in time with a prequel to the hit series.

According to M magazine, Billy Ray expressed his desire to bring back the hit series:

There’s wonderful buzz right now for a prequel to Hannah Montana. I know Miley couldn’t step back & be that little girl, but I could get my mullet back real quick.

A prequel to Hannah Montana is an interesting concept, but I wonder how it will fare if it actually becomes a television series. What will the show’s original fans think and would it appeal to a slightly younger generation that might not remember the original series? And obviously since Miley is too old to star in it, who will star as the younger version of Miley Stewart? It should be interesting to see what happens next because right now it seems that anything is possible. In the mean time, what do you think of a Hannah Montana prequel?

   I personally think they should do a spin off about Miley & Lilly in college. I support gay people so why not make it intresting and make Miley & Lilly a couple and have each episode be about them learning about their relationship through the lessons they learn in college. Disney owns ABC so it might be better to put it on that channel in case it might be too risky for Disney Channel.

   they should do the prequel but with Noah Cyrus like everything that happened to miley when she first became Hannah

   i think the prequel works like a movie NOT a show cause they only have a few things to work with like how miley got discovered,what was her number 1 hit ,how was it like shooting her first music video,did something big happen to make her create hannah montana instead of just going out like herself.they just have that cause miley has only been living in la for 2 or 3 years when the show started so the prequel wouldnt work like a show but it would work really well like a movie and NO noah cyrus SHOULDNT play miley cause they need a little girl that can ACTUALLY sing good and i heard noah sing shes a worse singer then her sister miley ;/

   i think they should have hannah montana college years focusing on lily and milwy in college while they are still dating jesse and oliver maybe bring in new characters and have them showing there careers eg there studys etc

   They could have Miley’s little sister as the star of the show, she would be perfect. They could get a new Oliver, Lilly, Rico…. Can I be Lilly?

   Gosh, please don’t make a prequel. make a show about Lily’s double life, as popstar sensation Lola luftnagle.. Make it her in college, and she meets a whole new gang, (I wish i could star in this show), and by day she is ordinary college student, by night teen pop star, Lola. Disney should make a spin off!
