Taylor Swift Names Opening Act & Auctions Off Signed Guitar

Taylor Swift is auctioning off a signed acoustic guitar for her fans! She is allowing JetBlue to use it in their JetBlue’s Celebrity Baggage charity auction. Taylor is a big giver to communities based in the States. She has also named the opening act for her upcoming tour. Needtobreathe was hand picked by Taylor, against her label’s wish.

Here is what the band’s lead singer, Bear Rineheart had to say.

It was actually really natural. She just called – she’s a big fan, which is really nice… She’s been a fan for a little while… and even though it didn’t totally make sense for us, we’re probably not what people (record label bosses) would have had, she really liked the band a lot and made it happen

What do you think about Taylor’s choice? Was it smart to pick a Christian band as her opening act? I think that it could give her bonus points with some country fans. But it might make her lose some points with her other fans. I do love the fact that she stood up for who she wanted and did not give in to the label.
