Selena Gomez Is Depressed Over “Wizards” Coming To An Ending
Selena Gomez has not made it a secret about being upset over her long time show, Wizards of Waverly Place. Filming for the finale season ends this week, which means Selena will be saying goodbye to the show forever afterwards. She has expressed this sorrow on Twitter and in interviews.
I can’t say that blame her, she spent a lot of her teen years on it. So it is big part of why she is who she is. However, as they say all good things have to come to an end. Which sadly includes shows like hers.
What do you think about her being so torn up about the end of the series? Do you think that Disney is stupid to end all of their big shows at once? I do, I think that is a mistake for Disney. They will be losing pretty much all of their fans now, and that could show up badly on newer shows put out by them.

They have to Keep a little bit of Wizards by doin a Spin off series starring Gregg Sulkin called Werewolves of Waverly Place. What do you Think.
I’m so upset about it ending can’t even imagine what the cast must be going through. I honestly don’t think a show based on mason will work his entry has doomed the show. It was so much better without him.
Actually, Mason made Wizards for the most part. Or how about a spin-off entitled “Wizards in College”? Or maybe a spin-off for Max would work. I can see that Selena would need a lot of therapy, and so would I. It’s going to be popular in reruns as Drake & Josh was on Nickelodeon.
I love wizards of waverly place and understand why she is sad about it ending.
I dont think it’s stupid. Their shows are contracted for 2-4 years tops, at which point they have to do a spin off or let it go. And it’s also stated that the shows have to end when the lead actor/actress reaches 18 years of age (they can finish filming, but they cant make another season after they pass that age). Disney is not geared towards the older crowd, it’s geared to the younger kids (8-16). If older people watch, that’s great, but we’re not their target audience. They have to keep the shows fresh and actors/actresses young in order to keep appealing towards their target audience. That’s why they are starting shows like ANT Farm and Shake It Up with young stars.
As for shows like JB and Sonny With a Chance, while they were not intended to end they did for other reasons (Demi needing rehab and…. well I never heard what happened with the JB, but I’m sure it had something to do with the breaking up rumors).
As for being sad about it ending, of course she has every right to be upset. It’s not just like she showed up and didnt bond with anyone, these people are her family, that set is a second home, etc. As anyone in theatre/movies/TV can tell you, the ending of filming/a run is always hard, even if you didnt like the project. You’re leaving behind a part of your life and even if you work with some of those people again, you’ll never work with ALL of them again. You may never even see/talk to some of them after its over. That’s very difficult emotionally.
What about Nickelodeon? Do they have any age limits? I think they need to look into this exact same life cycle that Disney uses if they did it before. Maybe they should find new, young stars and cancel SpongeBob and iCarly, and make room for more big shows like Disney is doing.
Disney should of had a second movie atleast. Thye are ending all the good shows at once. And canceling the good shows and now they are starting new ones witch the promos look really bad disney is will really lose alot of viewers after wizards is finished.
yes i think it’s a mistake to end em all at once it’s so sad to think all the shows will be gone yes we have 2 keep moving on but i hate the thought of all the shows going off it sucks i feel bad for shake it up and good luck charlie cuz ha;f the viewers will leave with all these shows going.
Man, I’m 19 years old and heart Wizards of Waverly Place. I started watching when I was 17 years old and I can’t believe it’s going away. But unfortunately, Selena can’t be young forever. I’ll leave Disney Channel as well and move to a fresh new world of adult programming on the CW.

It’s okay, guys. I’m not so upset. The finale was Kennywood in August, and now Selena’s new show Musicians of Monte Carlo is already airing, replacing Wizards and former favorite Nick show, iCarly, which in my opinion, should have ended already. Nick needs to bring in some new actors and actresses, as well. Big Time Rush and Victorious can stay, but iCarly and SpongeBob can go since they’re so old.
I’m actually a young screen writer, and I am working on a spin-off of the “Wizards” series. Of course you will have to wait to see who wins the competition to see who the spin-off will be revovled around. Im very excited this is my first
