Nintendo Delays Big Game Releases For 3DS For Third Parties

Nintendo has been changing up their game for a while now, since the 3DS sales have been weak. Now Nintendo is planning to release big name games for the 3DS around third party games as they request. Before this Nintendo always releases their big names around the time third party game developers released a new one.

Satoru Iwata had this to say about the news

The reason why we have not yet set the launch dates is not only because of our development status, but to create an environment in which third-party titles will also sell well, which is the aim we set when we announced Nintendo 3DS

What do you think about this news? Are you happy that Nintendo is trying breath new life into a dying concept? I am, and I hope Nintendo does find a way to get around their current pitfalls. I just think they need to focus on things outside of the 3D feature at this point.
