Emma Watson the young actress who plays Hermoine in the Harry Potter movie franchise has become a muse for one of her favourite artists.

The British actress fell in love with Mark Demsteader’s art as a schoolgirl and decided to treat herself by purchasing one of his works as a present for herself for her 21st birthday in April.  But she was surprised when Mark asked if she would pose for him instead.  Emma mentioned that she used to look in after school which exhibited Mark’s art.  She always loved his paintings and decided to treat herself on her birthday by contacting Mark to buy some of his work.  Instead Mark turned the tables and asked if he could paint a series of paintings of her.  At first she was nervous but then became incredibly flattered and realized it was an opportunity she couldn’t turn down.  Mark ended up immortalizing the Harry Potter star in 34 paintings.

Mark also agreed to give 10% of the proceeds of his paintings of Emma to charity and has insisted it was an honour to work with the star.  He said that the idea behind the collection was to celebrate Emma;s birthday and capture a moment in time  by making each painting a quick snap shot.  The collection is going to be exhibited at London’s Panter and Hall Gallery in June 11. What do you think?
