Emily Osment’s Cyberbully To Premier On July 17th

Emily Osment has filmed a movie for ABC Family called Cyberbully, which will premier on July 17th. The movie will cover about the topic of bullies on the web, which is a growing issue. It is part of the growing awareness over the topic for bullies since last year.

This movie is a big departure from her old role in Hannah Montana. I wonder if people will be able to enjoy her acting chops out side of a “cutesy” show? I think this could be a start of a lovely acting career outside of the sidekick roles. I cannot wait to see how it comes out all together.

Are you planning to see Cyberbully? Do you think the storyline rings true for millions everywhere? I do, and while I doubt it will stop the act it might make parents to waken up to the threat. However, I do think that both schools and families should show this movie alike at least for awareness. But I doubt it will make much of an impact.
