Demi Lovato Takes Risk With Photo
Demi Lovato went last fall into treatment for some personal issues, including eating disorders. Now she has made a big step in her recovery by posting a photo of herself in her swim suite. Here is what she tweeted along with her photo.
I’ve been working so hard to get healthy and fit…I can’t believe I’m about to do this but I’m so excited.. Here’s my bikini time body! I never thought I’d ever feel confident enough to ever do that. I’m excited how far I’ve come since being completely ashamed of my body…I want any girl/guy out there who struggles with body image or confidence to know that it IS possible to find peace with yourself. It hasn’t been easy, but it starts with a commitment to yourself. . .your mind. . .and your soul. And trust me, I’m still working at it! Haha.
I am so proud of Demi! She is beating the odds and she is owning her issues. I have a feeling that she will have a much better life now that she has seeked and is still sought treatment. I remember when Demi first started her disney career and thinking man I hope she doesn’t get messed up like so many of the other stars! It made me sad that she lost her confidence and started to have some of those problems, but I still hope she’ll make it through the hard times. I’m with ya Demi! You have my prayers!

I think its great she has her confidence back but why do we all need to see that? I mean come on. You have your confidence but seeing these images are what makes some people have the issues with their bodies.
We love you Demi and just don’t look at haters comments you know why, I am happy to see that almost everyone defended you, see how much you are important to all of us, we are your fans and we love you bear that in mind

Personally, I think she looks great. It’s nice to have a role model out there who isn’t the size of a toothpick but is still healthty. And I realize that some people may not agree with me but I’m going to be mature enough not to tell those people to jump off roofs and kill themselves. I’ve seen the effects of suicide on a community…. everybody has their own opinions and I respect that.
