Teddy Duncan for D-Signed – Fashion Review

Just in time for spring, Target and Disney have reunited to create yet another tween fashion line. This time the inspiration comes from a Good Luck Charlie fashionista! The Teddy Duncan for D-Signed collection holds a lot of stylish appeal by mixing bohemian-inspired pieces with sportier looks–think lots of denim, stripes, and florals. Everything in this collection was designed for easy mixing and matching, so you never have to worry about whether two pieces look great together. In this line, you’ll find colorful dresses, denim rompers, cropped tee shirts, and cute camisoles. This limited edition collection is available at Target stores and on their website. Tops: Spring 2011 is all about nautical looks, and this Ocean Stripe Tank Top ($10.39) is the perfect option. This cotton/spandex top features vertical navy and white stripes, sleeveless design, rounded neckline, and faux button placket on the front with pretty lace trim. You can pair this top with crisp khakis or black dress shorts for a fresh look this is perfect for right now! If a trendy graphic tee shirt is more of your style, the White Graphic Tee ($9.99) is a great find. This cotton top features a crew neckline, short sleeves with rolled cuffs, a cropped length, and a cute graphic design print of a girl surrounded with tiny flowers. Crop tops are very trendy right now, and this one looks great with denim skirts. What line would be complete without a few chic tank tops? This line certainly fills that void with the Ocean Smocked Knit Tunic Tank ($10.39) and the Pink Ruffle Tank (also $12.99). The first top features pure cotton construction, a square neckline with smocked bodice, babydoll style, skinny straps, and trim with delicate floral details. The second top also features cotton construction, with a round neckline, racerback, and ruffled front. Both tank tops look great worn underneath a blazer or jacket, and this line has a really cute option! The Indigo 3/4 Sleeve Blazer ($19.99) is made from cotton and features a collared neckline, notched lapels, and 3/4 length sleeves with gathered cuffs. The jacket is available in either blue stripe or indigo.
Shorts and Skirts: A cute new skirt or a pair of shorts will complement any top. The Indigo Harem Skirt ($16.99) is the perfect choice for a denim mini thanks to its cotton construction, above-knee fit, two front pockets, elastic waistband, and fringed hem. This is the kind of skirt that looks great with a simple tee shirt layered with a plaid button-down blouse. Another fabulous find is the Navy Hiked Up Skirt ($16.99). This rayon/nylon miniskirt features a pull-on design with elastic waistband and finished hem. It’s a super-trendy design that works with simpler tops, camisoles, and jackets. If you’re going for a country-chic look, the Blue Stripe Ruffle Skirt ($16.99) is a terrific choice with cotton construction, thin stripes, a-line silhouette, ruffled hem, and elastic waist. This playful little skirt is a springtime essential that will certainly give your wardrobe a boost of chic. Another cute find is the White Eyelet Ruffle Denim Skirt ($16.99) which features a pull-on elastic waist, fringed hem, and a single tier of eyelet ruffle. If you’d rather wear a pair of shorts, the Teddy Duncan for D-Signed Collection has a few options for you. The Blue Stripe Denim Short (just $14.99) features a nautical flare with cotton construction, thin stripes, pockets, cuffed hems, and floral-shaped applique on the the left side of the hip. These shorts are a fresh and trendy alternative to the classic denim styles that are currently popular. Similar styles include include the Blue Floral Denim Shorts ($14.99), Fresh Melon Cut-off Shorts ($14.99) and Orange Denim Shorts ($14.99) Cropped pants are another stylish option. The Navy Harem Pants ($16.99), feature rayon/nylon blend constuction, regular rise with elastic waistband, cuffed hems, and two front pockets. These pants look great with simple blouses or tee shirts.
Dresses and Rompers: This season, cute dresses and sporty rompers are in style. Starting the fashion line’s dress collection is the Pink Floral Dress ($16.99), a cute summer cotton design with a rounded neckline with white inset, sleeveless style, keyhole back, and floral print skirt. Another cute dress is the Orange Stripe Dress (also$16.99). It’s similar in style except for for the color/print design.The Indigo Belted Short Romper ($16.99) is a cute alternative to a classic tee shirt and short set. It features cotton construction, sleeveless design, square neckline, cuffed hems, and elastic waist with tie belt. The Indigo Full Length Romper ($19.99) is very similar to the style mentioned above, only this one has longer legs, a snap-button front, and large bow detailing on the front. Both outfits are a stylish alternative to any summer dress.
Accessories: Since no outfit is ever complete without a few chic accessories, the Teddy Duncan for D-Signed Collection has no less than six accessories including hats and sunglasses. The collection include the Coral Sunglasses with Rhinestones ($6.99), which feature a lightweight design made from plastic, rhinestone detailing on the edges of the frames, and hinged temples. Another great pair of shades is the Navy Sunglasses with Polka Dots ($6.99). This pair was also made with lightweight plastic but features a pretty polka dot design on the backs of the arms. Next up are the hair accessories, which include 2 headbands and 2 hats. The Navy Flower Headband and Coral Flower Headband retail for just $4.99 each. Both headbands feature a slim metal design with a contrasting ruffled bow. The Black Denim Cadet Hat ($9.99) features a classic cadet shape with black denim construction, and the Tan Straw Fedora ($9.99) features paper construction and a red/white dotted ribbon around the base.
