Pirates of the Caribbean 5 in Development

Pirates of the Caribbean 4 has yet to come to theaters and already there is talk of a Pirates of the Caribbean 5 in the works.  Jerry Bruckheimer the producer for Pirates of the Caribbean spoke to USA Today revealing that a script for Pirates of the Caribbean 5 movie is already in development.

The audience has told them what they have loved so far in the movie series and what they loved about it that was fresh, it was new and it was a whole new story.  And they are hoping to carry over that feeling into Pirates of the Caribbean 4 to give the series something new and fresh.  If the audience enjoys this new adventure it would certainly encourage them to make another one.  Of course it would really be up to Johnny Depp and the audience.  Pirates of the Caribbean 4 will be released on May 20, 2011.  This will also be the first Pirates movie to be shot in 3D.

The movie seems to be bringing the story back to the first film.  In Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides, finds Captain Jack Sparrow and Barbossa embark on a quest to find the elusive fountain of youth only to discover that Blackbeard and his daughter Angelica who are also after it.  Are you excited for the fourth movie or a fifth?
