Miley Cyrus Performs With Joan Jett on Oprah

Miley Cyrus appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show on Wednesday but the former Disney star did not sit down long to chat with Oprah as so many people may have hoped.  Instead she got up and and performed a medley of hits on stage with rocker Joan Jett.

The 18 year old star kicked off things with the very popular and appropriate rendition of “Bad Reputation” followed by segments of “Cherry Bomb’ and “I Hate Myself For Loving You.”  Miley’s appearance coincided with the female iconic guitarist to help Oprah celebrate rock goddesses of the 70′s and 80′s.  Although, they did not talk about Miley’s parents called off divorce or salvia incident, but Oprah did talk to Miley after the performance asking her if it was a transition into womanhood after being a popular child star.  She admitted it is not about how far she could push things to convince people that she is not Hannah Montana anymore.

She said that she works on making the music she loves and not because she is growing up and that her music isn’t made to make a statement about growing up.  You can check out the clip of Miley’s medley with Joan Jett.  What do you think about this interview?
