Demi Lovato had a few rough months and her fans, although supportive, have remained mostly in the dark regarding what went on during that period of time. Disney Infonet has recently reported that Demi has decided now’s the time to talk about it.

Last week, Demi recorded an interview with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts and fans will get two chances to find out what she has to say, according to a statement posted on Twitter by Roberts,

“Demi’s intvw will air on @GMA and 20/20 in couple of weeks. Will let u know. She truly touched me today. Very open, wonderful.”

There’s no word yet on when the interview will air, but Roberts also shared that fans wouldn’t be caught by surprise and that “plenty of notice” would be given when the interview is scheduled.

Even though it’s about an unpleasant time in her life, the interview apparently went well and Demi had nothing but kind words to say about Roberts on her Twitter account,

“Everyone follow @RobinRoberts such a genuine and talented STRONG woman. Someone I definitely admire and look up to!”

“@RobinRoberts thank you SO much for helping me tell my story today. Today was really special for me. Thank you. God bless!”

I think it’s great that Demi has reached a point where she feels comfortable talking about that time, and hopefully she’ll have plenty of words of encouragement for others who find themselves in a similar situation and things are definitely looking up for her since she was recently voted Q102’s Ultimate Teen Queen and won the Hot Hits “Best Fans in the World” award.
