Robert Pattinson Can’t See How Breaking Dawn Will Be PG-13

Twilight: Breaking Dawn is the film all Twihards have been waiting for because, at long last, the teasing is over. Within the two final films, we’re going to have a wedding, a steamy honeymoon scene, and a vampire/human birth that could make many swear to never ever have kids… and it’s all going to be tucked under a PG-13 rating.

While Twilight fans can only imagine what the final two films in the saga have in store, one person who actually has a really good idea about what the audience will see is shocked that Breaking Dawn didn’t end up with an ‘R’ rating.

Robert Pattinson recently told Entertainment Weekly,

“There’s some interesting and weird stuff going on — really very, very, very strange. It’s great. For a big mainstream movie, it’s the most obscure storyline and really outside the box. It’s a horror movie. I’ve seen a few bits, and I just can’t see how it’s going to be PG-13 unless they cut everything out.”

Of course, the Twilight saga started out as a teen story so it would be insane to restrict the core audience and Summit Entertainment realizes that alienating those that would be locked out by an R-rating would be a very bad thing. A rep for Summit has put those fears to rest, saying, “Breaking Dawn will be a PG-13. It will not be rated R.”

I’ll guess we’ll see for ourselves if Rob had anything to worry about on November 18th, when the first part of Breaking Dawn arrives in theaters.
