Looks like the apple doesn’t fall very fall from the tree in the Smith family.  Willow Smith the daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith performed her hit single ‘Whip My Hair’ live on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and you can check out the performance below.  The event was hosted by Ryan Seacrest and he commented that Willow was the youngest performer they have ever had on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

Willow launched her music career in the fall of 2010 with the release of her single “Whip My Hair’ and she signed on to Jay-Z’s record label Roc Nation.  The single peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making her the youngest solo artist in history to do so.  Willow is also a young actress and has appeared with her father in ‘I Am Legend’  and she also appeared in Kit Kittredge: An American Girl alongside Abigail Breslin.  The role in Kit Kittredge got her the Young Artist Award from the Young Artist Foundation.

With her older brothers Jaden Smith and Trey Smith and in conjunction with Hasbro they have become young ambassadors for Project Zambia, which helps children orphaned by AIDS in Zambia. What do you think of her performance?
