Do Something

If you are a celebrity, it is likely that have taken on a cause. It is not uncommon for them to do so, but this year 3 young stars have stood out of the pack. Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Nick Jonas have been listed in DoSomething.org top 20 stars of 2010. Here is where they ranked in the last and why.

#3 Taylor Swift. She may originally be from PA, but now living in Nashville she is a TN girl all the way. So of course she donated $500,000.00 to her home town. She also later on donated to Scholastic’s literacy program.

#6 Nick Jonas. Nick who is in the Jonas Brothers of course is 1/3 of their own foundation Change for the Children Foundation, but he is also the National Chair for JDRF’s Walk to Cure Diabetes. While he suffers from Diabetes, he has taken the cause under his wings and has helped make people more aware of it.

#10 Justin Bieber. Justin may sit lower on the list than some of his fellow young stars, but he is perhaps better know for his own charity work. He donates a $1.00 of every ticket sold, dedicated a music video to sick kids, raised $150,000 for a New York children’s hospital. And his very own Pencils of Promise charity that he launched.

I have to say that they all have given back so much and I hope that they keep doing. Do you think they left out anyone or maybe placed these 3 in the word order? I want to know what you think about this list.

  1. Hasbeen Aniston says:

When you are a multimillionaire, asking WORKING CLASS Americans to give is NOT a valid measure of generosity. No celeb should ask working people to give unless THEY THEMSELVES have first WRITTEN A SIZEABLE CHECK. Show the generosity of spirit that people like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie routinely show. They don’t ask others with far less than they have to do give. THEY WRITE CHECKS THEMSELVES!!!
