Nintendo has released a new edition of their much buzzed about handheld console the Nintendo DS, the new edition is called Nintendo 3DS. A few of the games that support 3D used an AR Card that will allow you to beam image into real life. One of these games is the ever popular series (Nintendogs) upcoming release Nintendogs + Cats. It comes out in Feb 11th.

This game has created much of a buzz, though no long-term effects have been studied. The console and games have been deemed dangerous for kids to use for more than 30 minutes, but no studies have come out conclusive. The game does simulate the animals as life like and will be a great game for those who wish to own a pet but cannot.

I have to say that the game sounds like a lot of fun, but I do wonder about the long-term effects of beaming the image out of the game. It sounds not exactly healthy, but we will likely not know until a few years down the road. How many of you are supporters of the Nintendo 3DS?
