Mattel Hot Wheels Video Racers Put You in the Driver Seat

Ever wonder what the view is like from a Hot Wheels race car as it speeds down the track? Well, Toy Xplosion brings word that Mattel is satisfying that curiosity with the new Hot Wheels Video Racer.

The Video Racer comes with a built-in video camera that can record all the racing action. The little mini-movie can then either be watched on the tiny screen installed on the bottom of the Racer or downloaded to a computer, where music, sound effects and special effects can all be included with drag-and-drop ease.

You can also take the Video Racer off the track for some outside fun by putting it in a protective case and strapping it onto a skateboard, a bicycle or a helmet to record all those action scenes that you might want to playback later.

The problem with the Hot Wheels Video Racers? We have to wait until this fall to get our hands on them. Fortunately, you don’t have to wait that long to see them in action thanks to this video clip from CES 2011.
