Material Girl at Macy’s Fashion Line

Material Girl is the hip new clothing line for juniors that was designed by Madonna and her fashionable daughter Lola Leon. This fabulous fashion line is decidedly edgy with unexpected detailing like exposed zippers, faux leather, crushed velvet, and other fun touches that make the pieces a bit 80′s retro. Exclusively sold at Macy’s, Material Girl is the line for the fashion-forward girl who lives in fun clothes like studded tee shirts, skinny bleached jeggings, funky floral minidresses, cropped tops, leopard print jackets, and much more. This line also features Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen in its advertising campaigns.

Dare to try something new:  here is a small sample of amazing items from the Material Girl fashion line. Tops: If polos and henley style blouses are not your thing, you’ll be happy to know that the Material Girl line has a fabulous selection of fun tops! The V-neck Short Sleeve Studded Tee is a cute find. It features a slightly loose fit, v-neckline with studded detailing, short flutter sleeves, and a rounded hem. This tee looks amazing when worn with jeggings, a cropped jacket, and pumps. Another wonderful find is the Long Sleeve Lace Boyfriend Shirt. This sheer lace top features a point collar, button-front closure, patch pockets, and rolled sleeves with button tabs. This top is actually ideal for layering over camisoles or tanks. Gingham recently had a fun makeover with this line’s Long Sleeve Cut-out Gingham Plaid Shirt. This features an allover gingham print, shoulder cut-outs, point collar, a single patch pocket, and button-down front closure. This is the kind of top that you would want to wear with a miniskirt and ballet flats. If you’d rather wear something that is a little more bold, the Scoop Neck Sleeveless Pocket Tunic Tank is the perfect choice thanks to its billowy silhouette, scooped neckline, and sleeveless design. This pretty top also features two pockets in the front for style and convenience. Wear this top over skinny jeans and cinch the waist with a skinny belt. Love lace? You’ll love this Scoop Neck Three Quarter Sleeve Lace Top which features a slightly boxy fit, sheer lace throughout, three quarter sleeves, and scalloped trim hem. This top was made to wear over simple tank.

Bottoms: Jeggings (a combination of jeans and leggings) are extremely trendy right now, and Material Girl has six fabulous pairs! A few notables include the Skinny Spotlight Black Wash Denim Jeggings and the Skinny Studded Destroyed Dark Wash Jeans. Both pairs feature a super skinny silhouette with a low-rise fit. If denim isn’t really your style, you’ll probably like the Skinny Cargo Pants. These skinny fit pants feature cotton/spandex construction, skinny silhouette, low rise, and cargo pockets. The trend doesn’t stop there, as there are dressier versions of leggings like the Skinny Cropped Satin Pleated Carrot Trousers. Dresses: The Material Girl collection includes both fun casual dresses and party dresses. Let’s start with two amazing printed minidresses! The Sleeveless Scoop Neck Keyhole Zipper Printed Mini Dress and the Sleeveless Scoop Neck Floral Zipper Mini Dress. The first style features a pretty, blue abstract print design, a-line silhouette, scooped neckline, wide straps, and elastic waistband. The second style features a multicolored floral print design, scooped neckline, sleeveless design, fitted silhouette, and exposed front zipper closure. Both dresses look terrific with denim or leather jackets! Another cute dress is this Sweetheart Short Sleeve Floral Zipper Lace Ruffle Mini Dress.
