John Travolta gives Glee a ‘No’

John Travolta will not be following in Olivia Newton-John his fellow Grease star footsteps by doing a cameo on Glee. The star from such movies as Hairspray and Wild Hogs recently revealed the big news to many slightly disappointed fans of both the show and him.  And the reason he won’t be doing a cameo?  Because he is the type of artist that likes to train for six or nine months to prepare for a musical so he knock ‘em dead when he does the performance.

One has to give him credit for wanting to go into the show well prepared, especially seeing as how the show is very on-demand.  And he admitted to Entertainment Weekly that in a week he really does not think he would be able to knock ‘em dead.  Olivia Newton-John did a cameo for the hit show during the first season, first doing a cameo when Jane Lynch’s character Sue Sylvester got caught on video busting out to “Physical” in private.  She then turned up later at the end of the season as a special guest judge during regionals.

But in Travolta is keeping his singing voice strong by singing songs to his two month old son Benjamin.  His wife Keely Preston gave birth last year and admits he loves to find new ways to entertain the tot.
