Experience Michael Jackson on PS3 and Xbox 360

Wii gamers have experienced it. DS and PSP players have experienced it, too. On April 12th, people who have PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles will finally have their chance to experience it.

I’m talking about Ubisoft’s Michael Jackson: The Experience, of course. Ubisoft has declared the game a “global holiday hit,” with two million copies being sold in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The game won’t come out in Japan, a country loaded with Micheal Jackson fans, until later this year so the two million mark is just the tip of the iceberg.

On April 12th (in North America; EMEA territories have to wait until the 14th), PS3 and Xbox 260 users will be able to pantomime along to the gloved-one’s hits using Kinect or Move. Perhaps as a little gift for people having to wait so long, the songs Blood on the Dance Floor and I Just Can’t Stop Loving You will be exclusively on these versions, “with additional tracks to be revealed soon,” according to the press release posted on Joystiq.

Michael Jackson: The Experience will retail for $59.99 and is rated E10 (ages 10 and older) so start limbering up and get ready to do some moonwalking.

I have played this in the Wii version with my seventeen-year-old daughter. Perhaps needless to say, she kicks my butt in it every time. It’s fun, especially Smooth Criminal and Thriller, but to try to duplicate the Gloved One’s moves is not that easy, at least not for me. Still, it’s a good time, and I’m guessing the other versions that are coming out will likely be pretty fun, also.
